Geoff Besko, President & CEO Seccuris Inc. will present on Architecting Security Program Governance. A key challenge when establishing security programs in many organizations is how to address issues regarding governance. In its most basic form, governance is determining how decisions are made and who has the authority to make them. This presentation will discuss some of the challenges of modeling and implementing appropriate governance for information security programs and demonstrate how using some practical and proven security architecture modeling techniques can greatly simply this challenge. The goal is to provide the audience with practical approaches to tackling their own governance challenges. As well as providing consulting services to key clients, as President and CEO Geoff Besko has responsibility for the leadership and general management of Seccuris Inc., a Canadian information security consultancy and solution provider. |

Glenn Deley of the Information Protection Centre of the Manitoba Government will be discussing their Data Centre Design which has significant Virtualization components. Glenn will also discuss best practices around implementing VMware and how some of the vendors are tackling the security issues. Virtualization from an end to end point of view will also be discussed, such as VLANS, VRF's, Virtual Switches, MPLS and Virtual Orchestrators. |
