SPEAKER INFORMATION

Ron Saull, MBA, CSP
Ronald Saull, MBA, CSP is the Executive Vice-President of the global Information Services Organization serving the operating companies of Great-West Lifeco and IGM Financial, all members of the Power Financial Group of Companies. For these companies, Mr. Saull is responsible for the strategic application of information technology and integration of information services spanning Canada, Europe and the United States. He has over 20 years' experience as an information systems professional and manager in both the public and private sectors.

Mr. Saull is currently a trustee on the International Board of Directors of the IT Governance Institute, an international research think tank dedicated to conducting original research on IT governance and related topics. Mr. Saull is active on the ITG Committee which formulates strategy for the evolution of the Institute's products and services. In the past, Mr. Saull has served as a member of the CobiT Steering Committee, was Vice-President of the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) International Board of Directors and chairman of ISACA's Research Board.

He has published an article on the IT Balanced Scorecard in the Information Systems Control Journal and presented on this and a variety of IT Governance related topics at ITGI/ISACA conferences worldwide. His e-mail address is: ron.saull@gwl.ca.

SESSION DESCRIPTION

Mr. Saull will share his experiences and lessons learned in IT governance implementation over the past 11 years with the Power Financial Group of companies. Over this period these companies have seen significant growth, both organizationally and by acquisition, as well as expansions of products and services. In the presentation he will cover the stages of governance maturity covered, insights from that experience and recommendations for others planning I. T. governance initiatives.
