President's Message 2009-2010

Welcome to the ISACA Winnipeg Chapter Web Site. Our chapter is part of a global organization with over 86,000 members in over 170 chapters spread over 70 countries worldwide.

I am very proud to advise you that our chapter has been voted the Best Medium Sized Chapter in North America as well as the Best Medium Sized Chapter in the world for the past two years running. We could not have achieved these awards without your consistent encouragement, your enthusiasm and your willingness to support our programs.

The primary purpose of the Chapter is to promote individual member education for the improvement and development of capabilities in the field of IS Audit, Control, Security Management and Governance. We do this by providing world-class IT Audit, Control and Security Management training at a reasonable cost to our members and the IT community as a whole.

This year we will be offering a mix of luncheon and breakfast presentations as well as single and multi-day sessions on topics of interest to those in the IS Audit, Control, Security Management and Governance Community. In addition, we have two special interest groups, IPAM focusing on IT Security and related matters, and ITAFG, which is aimed at IT Auditors. Both groups hold regular meetings with current topics of interest.
